Cape Charles Memorial Library
The Cape Charles Memorial Library, the oldest library on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, is located in the historic town of Cape Charles on the corner of Mason Avenue and Pine Street. We are also the first memorial library in Virginia. The library was dedicated on May 27, 1927 to the men who gave their lives in World War I.

Cape Charles Museum & Welcome Center
The Cape Charles Museum & Welcome Center features Cape Charles town history and also serves as its welcome center. It is open from late April through November, weekdays 10 am to 2 pm, Saturdays 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays 1 pm to 5 pm. Admission is free. Historic Palace Theatre
The art deco Historic Palace Theatre was designed by German architect Alfred Lublin and built in 1942. It features front doors with original porthole glass, a white structural glass facade and a curved glass ticket booth window. The interior is highlighted by a stepped plaster ceiling with indirect neon lighting, terrazzo floors, red velvet seats and hand painted murals.
