Any resident of the Eastern Shore can get a free library card by completing an application and presenting photo ID and proof of residency. The Cape Charles Memorial Library (CCML) offers patrons a window to a larger world, providing resources to educate and to stimulate. The library contains current and popular books, audio books, and e-books for adults, teens, and children. We also have two newspapers, over 40 magazines, and a growing DVD selection. Large print and interlibrary loan services are also available. Books and other materials circulate for four weeks with the exception of best sellers and DVD’s which circulate for two weeks. Wi-Fi and computers with internet and printing capabilities are available to patrons with valid library cards for 1-hour sessions and reservations are available for the computer lab for educational purposes. Computer classes are available throughout the year. The CCML also offers programs during the year for children, teens, and adults. This includes a weekly story time for toddlers and preschoolers, art & crafts, a Summer Reading Program, movie nights, workshops, and community information programs. Come and check us out!
